**Our New Look**
We’ve completed a full design refresh for Gabb Messenger Parent.

**General Updates**
- We’ve implemented Picture-in-Picture to allow parents to still see an ongoing video call while they are not on the call screen.

**Fixes**
- Fixed a critical crash that was occurring for some older iPhones upon app open.
- Fixed an issue where parents were seeing old conversations threads that would not open because they were older than 60 days.
- Fixed a few bugs related to FaceID login.

**Improved Text Flagging:**

- We have improved our text flagging models to more accurately detect harmful texts.
- Our new text flagging now includes improved Categories, Severity Levels, and Rationales for every flagged text.

**General Updates:**

- After being connected on a video call, we now hide the action buttons after 10 seconds. Parents can tap the screen to display the buttons again.
- We’ve increased the flagged content window to 60 days. Parents will now be able to see the last 60 days history of flagged messages.
- New contacts added to the Approved Contact List will now be auto-added to your child’s phone if the contact does not exist on their phone.

**Safe Video Calling**
This feature is now available for the Gabb Phone (Z2). Parents can manage enabling and disabling the feature via the Safe Video Calling toggle in 'Controls'.

**General Updates**
- The FAQs in Settings have been updated to reflect several changes.
- Added an additional education screen when trying to import child's contacts to the Approved Contact List but a contact backup does not exist.
- We’ve made multiple improvements & bug fixes to our video calling for parents free beta feature. This is not fully released to all users yet.

We’ve improved the way that you view and monitor flagged content. No more digging and piecing together individual flagged messages - you can now view all flagged content within a conversation. We group all flagged messages by conversation so that you can easily monitor who your child is communicating with and keep an eye out for harmful conversations.

Contact Management Improvements: Using Parent-managed contacts just got easier! You can now create the Approved Contact List by importing directly from your child’s existing contact list.

Safe Video Calling:
- When enabling video calling, we will check if the child’s device is capable of video calling. If not, we will provide the parent with a message to explain that Gabb Messenger needs to be updated.
- We’ve added a link to our video calling FAQ webpage directly under the Video Calling toggle for easy access to troubleshooting & tips.
- We’ve also added more information about video calling to our in-app FAQs.

Safe Video Calling
We’ve launched an early version of safe video-calling, which allows any kid with a Gabb Phone Plus (Samsung) to video-call with other Gabb Phone Plus kids.
Parent-enabled: Safe video-calling can be turned on by parents enabling the Video Calling toggle in the More tab for your child.

Nudity Detection: All video calls are monitored for nudity. If nudity is detected, we automatically disable the video-calling feature for both children and alert the parent with the details. The parent can re-enable video-calling for their child in the More tab.
Last sync to child’s device: You can see the last time the child’s video-call settings synced at the bottom of the More tab.

Filter flagged content: You can now filter flagged content for video-calls. Not Available for Gabb Phones: The video-calling feature is not yet available for Gabb Phone users, so you will not see the video-call toggle option yet.

Approved Contacts: If using parent-managed contacts, the Approved Contact List will now apply to video-calling so that you can manage who your child can video-call with.

Other Updates
1. The red dot on the More tab will now only show if you are selected on the affected child profile.
2. We’ve made a few small tweaks to clean up the User Interface.
3. A scroll view has been added to accommodate for users using a zoomed display on their iPhone.
